Johnson's Custom Jewelry

Custom designed pieces

We start the custom design process with a concept meeting. We want this to be a fun, relaxing, and inspiring experience. Whether you know exactly what you want, or are looking for something special, but don't know quite what, you will get to work directly with the designer/jeweler the entire process. Our ultimate goal is to work with you to create a piece of jewelry that we can all be proud of, and the best part is, YOU get to be a part of creating it every step of the way!

State of the art design

Once we have the general concepts of your design pinned down, we will create a CAD (Computer Aided Design) model, using our state of the art 3-D modeling software. Once the model has been made, you will be able to view photo realistic renderings of your piece. From here we can make tweaks to your design, or if everything looks good, we will have a wax model made. The wax models will be cut out on our Gemvision Revo C milling machine. Once the wax model is complete, we will have you come in to make sure it is exactly what you were looking for.

All the way to the final product

Once the wax model has been approved, your wax model will be cast in to gold, platinum, or silver. Castings come out with a smooth finish, but are far from the finished piece you are used to seeing in a jewelry case. This takes a very fine eye with attention to detail to bring out the perfect finish. Once the casting is cleaned up, your stones will be carefully laid out and set into the metal by hand to secure the stones. The last stage of the custom design process is the finish. There are many different types of finish, most commonly a high polish, but several other textured finishes can be put on your piece.

Most projects take 3-4 weeks from Concept to Completion. We look forward to working with you to help you create just what you are looking for.

We love to work with customers to create the perfect piece of jewelry for that special occasion. Creating jewelry has always been a passion of mine and it has been a dream of ours for quite some time to have our own store. We strive to make coming to our store an excellent experience, one where you can expect to be involved in every step of the process in creating your piece of jewelry. I can still remember the first piece of jewelry I ever created for a customer. With that piece and every other one since, it is always hard to see it go out the door, but it is worth it to see how much joy it brings to it's owners face.
